H1 Heart Rate Sensor
By R. White
I purchased this sensor as a backup for the sensor that came with my FT60 after contacting Polar. My original sensor was trouble free for about 4 months. When it started losing signal during workouts, I assumed the battery was dying. Couldn't get the cover off and ruined the slot in the cover trying.
The new sensor is a different design and calls for hand washing of the strap assembly as opposed to weekly machine washing of the original strap assembly that came with the FT60 ( washing of both is to be done after removal of the transmitter).
This replacement worked flawlessly for me for the first month and a half, but now it has also begun to occasionally lose signal during workouts. And though I filled out Polar's customer satisfaction survey after speaking to their service people, and checked the "contact me" box at the end of the survey, I was never contacted. I love the FT60 and the PolarFit program, but was put off by the attitude of the first tech service guy I dealt with and have been less and less pleased with the reliability of the H1's, and still don't know what to do with the damaged original that I can't get the battery cap off of.
Started at 5 stars for the whole FT60, currently 3 stars, but drifting toward 2 ...

Revised Heart Monitor Strap
By Foodie in LA
I am one of the many people who got a wearlink strap with removable/snap on heart monitor to replace my old T31 All in one heart monitor/strap with non-replaceable battery.
I am also one of the many people who kept getting a rash from the wearlinks.
I figured that i would go back to the old strap but I noticed that the new H-1 transmitter seemed to have rubberized strap.
Sure enough i got it and it's great.
Transmitter is very strong. At gym, all three machines in a row read off mine.
Have never had problems with interference so don't know how improved the 5.4ghz is over the 2.4 ghz.
By the way, Polar customer service gave me a free additional H-1 strap and told me I didn't have to return the wear link.
So now I have two.

Very Disappointed in this new HRM strap
By Renee Cox
I used to and well still have the F11 and decided to upgrade to the FT60 because mine was outdated and I didn't want to get another replacement strap and transmitter. However right now that I have done that I am in a way wishing I had just upgraded my old heart rate monitor strap and transmitter.
This one while very comfortable constantly loses signal. It is a very poor design other than the comfort. I would of thought that rubber strap would work better than the other. But as for now I will use my old strap wit this transmitter. It worked the first time. Now to see if it continues.
I have contacted Polar and they say it is the transmitter but I just don't think that is the case. I guess I will see when the new one arrives but for now it is back to the old.
